Jacobs Review:  

I thought this was a fantastic movie. Christian Bale stole the movie. He was outstanding and totally believable. I want him to win the Oscar this year. Mark Wahlberg was very good but, he was a little whiny at times. Amy Adams was great and totally believable. I have never seen her do a movie like that, where she was a tough and bad mouthed woman. Mellissa Leo was absolutely incredible. She played Mark and Christian's mom. She was absolutely stunning, believable and great. I want her to win the Oscar. The direction and cinematography in this movie was outstanding. The cinematography was very dark and really showed you the dark parts of the area where it took place. I would give this movie a 9 out of 10.

Black Swan Movie Review

                          

Ben's Review:
       I currently saw the psycho thriller, Black Swan, at the Lincoln Center Theatre on 64th st. This movie, overall, scared me and played with my mind and left me thinking. I thought Natalie Portman was absolutely stunning. It was such an interesting experience to see her character transform from a good little momma's girl, to a daring and evil woman. Which represents the transformation from the White Swan to the "Black Swan." She played the role very well and really showed you how far she's willing to go. I hope she wins the Oscar this year for Best Actress. The movie dared to be different and combined two very different genre's, dance and horror. Which made me love it. The overall cast was great and each person had a specific reason to be in the movie. This movie truly scared me and was possibly one of the scariest and intense movies I have ever seen. I give it 8 out of 10 stars.

Kick-Ass Movie Review

Jacob's Review:

I love this movie. I think it is a very entertaining and unique movie. The acting done by Chloe Grace Moretz was incredible. She stole the movie with  her comedic timing and wonderful performance. This movie was an action packed masterpiece with an overall great cast. Aaron Johnson gave a very good performance and was perfect for the role of Kick Ass. The action in this movie was very comical and strong I recommend this movie to teenagers. This movie revolutionizes the typical super hero movie. I would give it 9 out of 10 stars.

Ben’s Review: 

I found that this movie was highly entertaining and made me crack up with its wonderful humor and action. I thought the performances were wonderful. Aaron Johnson gave a great performance with stunning comedic timing. Even though Aaron Johnson was British he did a very realistic Brooklyn accent.  I hope to see him in more to come. I felt that Chloe Grace Moretz stole the movie with her hysterical performance as the kick-ass daughter of an ex-cop. She seemed very comfortable on camera. I also hope to see her in more this year. I thought they stayed very true to the graphic novel and did it justice with the gruesome action and comedy. I felt that this movie brought the typical super hero movie to a whole new level. I applaud this movie and give it 9 out of 10 stars.
